Create your own adventure in this exciting game design camp. Students will choose one of two paths and work together to build a complete video game by the end of the week.
Programmer Path
Learn how to bring a game to life through code. Students on this path will focus on building the game's mechanics, controls, and functionality while working closely with their team to turn ideas into a playable experience.
Art & Marketing Designer Path
Design the visual identity, graphics, and overall style of a mini arcade game console, along with its promotional presence. Students on this path will create graphic assets and visual elements for the arcade-style console itself, while also shaping the game's branding, narrative presentation, and marketing materials. The focus is on how the game and console look, feel, and are presented to the audience, rather than on programming or gameplay development.
Both paths work together as one team, combining technical and creative skills to develop a finished game. At the end of the week, teams will present their games and compete for Best Overall Game, judged by OTECH students and staff.
Lunch will be provided daily.
Class Limit: 15 students
